Why Cashmere Edit Only Uses Long Fibers in Knitting?

by Tyler Hawkins

The Cashmere Edit only uses long 100% pure cashmere fibers in our sweaters, joggers and other fine garments and accessories we produce. Using long fibers in knitting 100% pure cashmere has several advantages:
  1. Strength and Durability: Long cashmere fibers are stronger and more durable than short fibers. This means that a garment made from long fibers is less likely to tear or wear out over time.

  2. Drapability: Long cashmere fibers are more flexible and have a softer, smoother feel. This makes them more drapeable and comfortable to wear, especially in garments like sweaters and shawls.

  3. Resilience: Long cashmere fibers are less prone to pilling and shedding, which means they retain their appearance and shape better over time.

  4. Ease of Knitting: Long cashmere fibers are easier to work with and knit up smoothly, making them a popular choice for both beginners and experienced knitters.

  5. Aesthetics: Long cashmere fibers have a lustrous and shimmering appearance that can add a touch of elegance to a finished garment.
